Personal BackgroundDiploma in Physics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 1990. Research thesis 1989/1990 at the University of Milan, Italy. Two years of experience in the field of intellectual property rights in private practice with two Munich patent and trademark law firms from 1991 to 1993 and a one year term as a trainee with the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patents Court. Admission as a German Patent Attorney in 1994, European Qualifying Examination and Admission as a European Patent Attorney in 1995. Extension of my international experience during six months as an intern in an intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C, USA. Now registered to practice before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patents Court, the European Patent Office and the European Trademark Office (Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs)).
